So today is A's birthday. 3x years old. I got her a combined bday\mother's day gift a long time ago, so I was in the clear on that. But I'd been putting off getting the card until the last minute. No, I don't know why.
So on the way to working the late shift yesterday, I stopped off and tried to get a card along with birthday cake supplies. Except that all the cards sucked ass. So I decide that...since I need eggs anyway, I'll pick it up on the way home.
I end up being really distracted at work, staying 30 minutes late, and run into traffic on the way home (bumper to bumper at 11:30PM, gotta love Chicago traffic). By the time I get to the store, I completely forget the card. What an ass.
Other random things. W is getting a lot more interactive. When A went to her book club, he frantically waved goodbye to her car. He now waves all the time.
The other day, I think when we ended up going to Great America, A hadn't eaten breakfast by the time we were in the height of the packing frenzy. She dropped something on the floor and a 'crap' fell out of her mouth. C immediately repeated it about 8 times. Thankfully he forgot about it 2 minutes later. I think it's payback for me saying 'dammit' and having to hear C say it 10 times a day for the next 3 weeks.
