RedHead

I got an offer for the World Series Champion Chicago White Sox (wsccws) tickets from a co-worker the other day. So we went to see them get their World Series rings. The weather forecast was iffy so I brought a winter cap. It was warm.

So I went hatless for 5 hours of sun. Seeing as DearWife just cut my hair down to 1/4 inch, my scalp is now completely sunburned. Now I know why MuskyBoy wears a cap at all times. So anyway, I'm a little worn out today. And it's bodypump night.

The kids both had doctor's appointments today. Everything was fine, but there were shots, and crying and moaning and short naps. As DW left, everything was ok. BigBrother was upset that she was leaving, but that's not so unusual. Apparently, DW saw BigBrother in the window, and got concerned. She stopped and came to the window to 'calm him down.' I shouldn't have to say this, but it exacerbated the issue. To BB, she was close to not going at all. In the meantime, LittleBrother realized she was leaving, and started balling.

The crying stopped only for brief moments until they were in bed. There was a lot of crying for Mommy. About 10 minutes ago- 45 minutes after they had been in bed, I sneezed. I heard over the monitor: "Daddy Bless you. I love you Daddy."

Well there are actually three reasons why I wear a hat almost all the time on the WEEKENDS. One as you noted is I also have issues with sunburning the old melon. I also where a hat so as to not blind people from the glare off my folically challenged scalp, I do this for the safety off all around, it would be bad to blind somebody who is driving their car through the neighborhood. I consider this to be my civic duty. But most importantly, the reason why I wear a hat on the WEEKENDS is because I rarely shower on the weekend and what is left of my hair looks like crap.

spray on sunscreen - the mist kind (seriously for parts in hair, short cuts or that buffed look)

and don't worry - pretty soon it will cross over and they will be pushing DW out the door for "me time" so they can get away with all sorts of stuff, I mean play with, dad . . .

or maybe that's just a daddy's girl thing ;)

Welcome to my world. I have been getting the old head toasty for years. I figure this is just payback for those punk years. I tend to go with the old rag as I look even more like a dork in a baseball hat. And no respectable headbanging, punk quoting Woodchuck would be found dead in a cowboy hat
