Back

Normally, I know when vacation is over because I get a feeling of 'it's good to be back at work.' Vacations are fun, but it's good to be back in the routine. Normally.

That didn't happen yesterday when I was back at work for the first time in a couple weeks. I dig being at work. I like the people I work with, the sense of camaraderie, the immediate gratification of a job well done.

But it can't compare to:

1. The oohs and aahs of the first Christmas present the kids open. "CHEETOS!" - Thanks MIL.

2. BigBrother running around the in laws house 2 hours past bed time wearing only his Thomas underwear and socks shouting "I'm Wonder Woman" and pointing to his underwear. Note to self, maybe the Lynda Carter youtube videos should be cut back.

3. LittleBrother drawing a perfect smiley face and the first letter of his name.

4. The lazy New Years day spent watching Toy Story and Cars with the kids.

I hope you all had great holidays.

I usually look forward to getting everyone back to school and back to work so that I can relax and recouperate from the holidays . . . but this home school thing is really cutting into my "me time" LOL!

It was wonderful watching the girls play together over break - I truly appreciate that my 13 year old still likes to sit on the floor and play dolls and legos! (shh, I'll have to deny this in front of her friends)

I love Cheetos.

Very true, but wait until they are teenagers, have 8 of their buddies over for a sleepover, destroy your kitchen, eat all your food and leave the basement a disaster. Sure it was fun but the cleanup will drive you back to work without thinking twice.
