A funny thing happened on the way to Vote

We were in the car on our way to vote when DW's phone rang. I was doubly surprised A) that she actually brought her cell phone and B) that anyone was calling her. Not very many people have her cell number. It seemed like a bad connection.

"Who are you?"
"What's your name?"
"John. What?"

The voice sounded like it was masked. The connection might not have been great either. He knew her name. He wanted to come over and described what he was not wearing. More than a little freaky.

DW called the cell company. They can't release the numbers without a subpoena. So DW went to the police station. The cop was helpful, and I think helped restore BB's faith in police after the Huntley thing. But at the end of the day, he discouraged her from doing anything because it was a one time thing and we would not likely get the subpoena anyway.

She put it on record, so if it happens again, there will be documentation. I told her we should pay our own lawyer to get this done. I want to know...

oh, that's just creepy

even if the cell company cannot give you the information can't they do something like block the incoming number? or change her cell number to keep you a happy customer

the fact that he knew DW's name would make this more that a random "one time thing" in my book and I would have the police file the paperwork . . .

keep us updaed on this one!
