We bought a new mini-van. It is by far the most powerful and coolest car I've ever owned. I think that says a lot about me.
It has the rear-entertainment option. So theoretically we can listen to XM Radio in the front, and the kids can listen to Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smell School Bus in the back. Except. I don't know how to do it.
I spent at least 15 minutes trying to figure out how to make it work, but I'm not quite there yet.
I work in technology for chrissakes. How hard can this be? Naturally, this is my father's fault. He must carry a gene that slowly drains ability to learn new technology.
One year, when the clocks fell back, he unlpugged his digital clock for an hour "to let it catch up." The next year, he did the same thing.
This does not bode well for me.

oh, yeah - the three kid thing - mini van becomes mandatory
try giving them silly putty and colored markers back there - technology isn't all it's cracked up to be {evil cackle}
I got the minivan but lack the XM radio. Thanks for giving me a new pursuit!
I never try and work out how to use something new with my teen daughter standing close by. She always is two steps ahead telling me what to do next.
I can relate - I just bought a Volvo wagon yesterday. Sadly this was likely a downgrade from the chick-magent sportscar but the baby seat in back meant the ladies were not exactly lining up anyway. I'm still trying to work the stupid controls myself. Not to worry, we will not endure - we shall previal! Best of luck.
Welcome to my world. Five years ago I was very good on new car electronics. Today, I'm lost and I teach electrical therory.
Ugh. This reminds me that I just figured out how to program the VCR.. yeah, about five years since it become obsolete. Go me! Good luck with this!
